Gorgeous Celebratory Salon Makeover at Saks Yarm

Monday, 25 January 2016 11:17

To mark 20 special years of Saks, Franchisee Jane Myers-Lewis decided to undertake complete makeover of her Yarm salon – a perfect tribute to the amazing reputation for excellence and customer service that she's has built for herself.

Jane says: “We’re all about making women look and feel special and we achieve this every day. It’s what the Saks brand is all about. We’re nothing without our customers and I’m so thankful for their support. To celebrate our landmark birthday I wanted to shake things up for those who’ve walked through our doors countless times and refresh things for my amazing hair team too. This complete refurbishment took some doing but we’re thrilled with our gorgeous new look!”

Having joined Saks at sixteen, Jane, 44, of Darlington, honed her hairdressing skills in Saks salons around the North-East. Hard work paid dividends and her talent and ambition were recognised and nurtured by the brand.  In 1995 Jane fulfilled her ambition of becoming a Saks owner at the Tall Trees salon, enjoying thirteen successful years ‘just out-of-town’. The dream was Yarm High Street and seven years ago Jane was thrilled when 20 High Street became available.

Saks Yarm is also renowned for giving hair apprentices a great start. Being ‘Saks-trained’ opens salon doors and many have gone on to forge successful careers in other Saks salons and elsewhere too.

Jane concludes: “Saks Yarm is on a roll as we recently celebrated not one but two of our senior stylists – Dani Flavell and Amy Stephenson – getting Special Recognition Awards for outstanding loyalty and service at our annual Saks bash. With the salon’s makeover and awards in the bag we’re getting better in 2016. We’ll be joining in with the Saks partnership with The Eve Appeal, raising funds and awareness for gynaecological cancers.
