Chris Foster on Global Male Grooming Quest!

Friday, 02 June 2017 10:07

Chris Foster is on a male grooming education roll hosting and presenting at four major seminars in Miami, Dubai, Mumbai and the UK all in the last month alone.

As Director of the British Barber Association, Intercoiffure invited Chris to their annual event in Miami where he was asked to discuss and inform hairdressers from the top salons in North America about the grooming boom. Chris shared advice on how businesses can capitalise from the boom as well as how to understand it and make it work for them both in their local market and globally. Chris shared a range of advice from the running of a barbering business to the creative side of hairdressing, he even broke barbering records at the show by performing the first live shave on stage.

Next up on Chris’s global education itinerary was Dubai. The Beauty Business Summit is held at the Beauty World exhibition and invites hair and beauty specialists from across the globe to join their expert panel discussing various industry topics. After being asked to judge at the UAE’s Best Barber Awards, Chris was invited as a male grooming expert to talk about the fastest growing sector in hairdressing today! This was yet another record breaker as they have never before had someone on their panel representing the male grooming sector in the Middle East. The audience were business-minded individuals rather than creative hairdressers which included a range of business men and women from researchers and trend forecasters to style influencers and big beauty brands. This seminar was global industry focused at which Chris made his mark in the Middle East as a male grooming specialist.

Chris also headed to Mumbai for ‘An Evening with Extraordinary Gentlemen’ as part of a presentation to 900 hairdressers for the British Barbering Association. Chris’s show named ‘Kings Row’ was based upon his recent collection inspired by classic tailoring and the infamous Savile Row in London. Chris and Erik Lander presented six models at the show and continued to educate throughout the following week hosting daily seminars with top hairdressers from across India.

Chris commented: "It’s been a fantastic month for us meeting some incredibly ambitious and interesting people," Chris commented. "We’re thrilled to be invited to prestigious education and networking events across the world sharing our love and passion for male grooming. I’m also excited to have launched our brand-new education portal at Barber UK bringing a range of learning opportunities to the hairdressing industry...watch this space for more details.”
