Two decades of delivering high quality hair apprenticeships was the motive for the recent celebrations at the JET Hairdressing Academy in Basildon, Essex.

Managing Director Jill Kitchenham, started her venture because she wanted to deliver high quality apprenticeships with the skills employers need. Formally known as J&E Training, the academy focuses on realistic skills and training in-salon and  has successfully grown a reputation for work-ready apprentices and culture of quality.

To celebrate their 20th Anniversary, JET treated the team to a weekend away at the Potters Resort in Hopton-on-Sea, taking part in a variety of activities including a ballroom dance class and competing for medals in Archery, Air Riffle Shooting and Crazy Golf before dancing the night away.

“These twenty years have flown by and within that time it has been a privilege to see so many talented people develop their skills, progress and become successful in their own right," commented Jill. "Hairdressing is a great industry to be in but it is extremely hard work and to become a successful business you always need a dedicated, focused team and that has certainly been the formula for JET Hairdressing Academy’s success.”

In the last 20 years, JET Hairdressing Academy has helped train over 2,800 hairdressers and barbers in salon and in their highly equipped modern training salons in Basildon, Chelmsford & Leigh-on-Sea. They currently have nearly 300 hairdressing & barbering apprentices at both Levels 2 & 3 and work with 140 salons across Essex, also providing short courses and Barbering & Assessor Qualifications.
