Scotland welcomes the return of The Fellowship

Thursday, 17 March 2016 08:03

After our sold out Fellowship Fringe event at the end of last year we returned to Scotland on Monday 7th March.

Glasgow welcomed an array of incredible industry talent with Drygate Brewery Company providing a really cool venue for the evening.

Guests were welcomed into the bar area where they were able to find out more about The Fellowship from President Bruno Marc; Chancellor Karine Jackson and Ambassador Errol Douglas MBE. The curtains then parted to reveal 4 individual podiums distributed around the room for this incredibly unique concept event.

Bruno Marc welcome everyone to what he promised would be an incredible night and a one off opportunity to see a “wealth of industry experts all in one room” before he introduced Karine who would be assisting him in compering and coordinating the evening.

Bruno commenced the evening by introducing ex F.A.M.E. Team member John Gillespie and Award winning Philip Bell from Ishoka, with Karine providing the introductions for Rainbow Room International’s Suzie McGill and Alan Findlay from Rebel Rebel.

As the models and Masters made their way off their podiums, the legendary Charlie Miller OBE took his seat next to Bruno Marc for an in-depth interview. Charlie Miller OBE conveyed the importance of being true in the success of their brand. It was wonderful to hear so much passion as they celebrate their 50 years he spoke fondly of the importance of warmth and empathy in creating a successful business. The packed room was silent as they listened intently to every word with Bruno describing him as “an icon within our hairdressing world”.

It was then time to introduce the next 4 experts who would be taking to their podiums. Karine Jackson returned to introduced Brian Gallagher and Joe Rawsthorne, with Bruno welcoming Charlie Taylor and Fellowship Hairdresser of the Year Andy Heasman from Rush to the room. There was a real buzz in the room with the atmosphere continuing throughout the second half of the night. As the audience asked questions and interacted with the Masters, Bruno and Karine were able to delve into individual journeys and techniques. The fantastically successful evening ended with all the models and Masters gathering for photo opportunities and a further chance to ask questions before everyone gathered in the bar area to find out more details on becoming involved in The Fellowship.

Karine Jackson said “ It was great to be amongst such an excited crowd throughout the evening. The atmosphere never stopped and it was obvious that everyone had an amazing night! There was something for each and every person and it was such a cool venue. We cannot wait to return in the summer!” Andy Heasman, Fellowship Hairdresser of the Year, said “It was an honour being part of the Scottish Masterclass and presenting alongside a wealth of talent. The event was really well organised and the response was phenomenal. What a great night!”
