F.A.M.E. Team visit Vogue 100 Exhibition

Monday, 28 March 2016 07:29

On Monday 21st March Jamie, Melissa, Rosie and Zoe were at the National Portrait Gallery in London for an opportunity to gain an insight into the history of fashion publication Vogue.

Project Leader Antony Licataarranged the one off day as an exciting addition to their calendar and they were certainly not disappointed. After a quick breakfast smoothie, and a chance to discuss upcoming shows and mentoring days, they all made their way to the Gallery where they were able to browse the rooms that showcased a range of photography commissioned by British Vogue. The exhibition boasted 280 prints from the Conde Nast archive and international collections which is a first for one of the most recognised fashion magazines in the world. A real celebration of 100 years of style and a great education for The F.A.M.E. Team.

Rosie Binns, Ethos Hairdressing, said “It was great to spend the day with the team at the National Portrait Gallery. We were so excited about the chance to visit the Vogue 100 exhibition. The exhibition told the story of from the beginning stages in 1916 right through to the present day. A fabulous way to mark the 100 year celebration. It was amazing to see style change as we walked though different eras and it gave us so many references for our own careers. I think we all came away inspired and ready to shoot some editorial hair!”
