Colour Project spend the day with Claire Chell

Monday, 09 May 2016 07:43

On Monday 25th April Colour Project were in Stafford to spend the day with Claire Chell at The Francesco Group Academy.

The day started with a warm introduction from Director of Hairdressing Anya Delicompagni who informied the team on the groups own history providing an insight into their shoots, shows and professional journey. It was then a chance to learn from Creative Director Claire Chell.

Claire started by describing her own background before discussing exactly what her current role is and involves. She demonstrated new hands free techniques which created stunning finishes. Her first model included beautiful pastel techniques using a mixture of raspberry sorbet and watermelon tones and colours, before she showed just how to collate ideas and inspiration into mood boards and hair.

The afternoon saw Colour Project put these ideas into practice as they created looks on their own models and block heads.

It was a really interactive session and was packed full of incredible education! It was a fantastic day and gave Colour Project a chance to see just what trends are emerging and how to develop these trends into their own colour applications.

Katie Mulcahy, Colour Project Leader, said “Today has been another brilliant session. It has been great to hear of her own professional journey which was really personal and insightful. The afternoon was a great workshop and it was lovely to see everyone really developing throughout the day. Next stop for us is a day with Gareth Williams at Headmasters in Putney on Monday 9th May and we cannot wait”
