Friday, 27 May 2016 10:00

Why did you apply for Step Up & Shine? “I applied because I really want to further my career and push myself. It is such an amazing opportunity and I cannot believe how bespoke it is to what I want in terms of education. I just knew I would get so much out of it so there was no way I couldn’t apply!”

How did you hear about Step Up & Shine?
“I follow The Fellowship on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook so I spotted it on Instagram”

What is your industry background?
“While I was at school I worked at Blondz as part of the young apprenticeship scheme before completing my NVQ Level 2 at Toni&Guy. I am now a Senior Stylist back at Blondz in Weymouth and have since achieved both my NVQ Level 3 and my Barbering NVQ Level 2”

What are you hoping to get out of the Scholarship?
“I am hoping to broaden my skills and pack in lots of education. I have a hunger to learn so I cannot wait to start! I am also really looking forward to meeting some hair idols of mine throughout the process”

How did you feel when your name was announced at President’s Night
“Sitting next to my best friend at President’s Night I was so nervous. Everyone on our table were so lovely and so friendly but I was just so desperate to win that I couldn’t wait to find out who had won. I was so shocked when they called out my name and I couldn’t believe all the hard work had finally paid off”
