Friday, 27 May 2016 14:32

Fudge Professional has announced the winner for its inaugural Fudge Professional Paintbox Mixology Masters award. Open to any Fudge Professional salons worldwide, colourists were encouraged to push their creative boundaries with the newly relaunched Paintbox semi-permanent colour range.

Janica Ström from Mood Room in Finland was selected from entries from across the globe, to win the 2016 award (see her winning image above). The judges included expert colourist Faye Turner from Mazella & Palmer and PR expert, Samantha Grocutt from Essence who were looking for an image that demonstrated the technical skills of the entrant and creative inspiration using the new Fudge Professional Paintbox range.

Along with winning the Mixology Masters Award title, Janica Ström will be invited to attend an all expenses trip to London and assist on a photographic shoot with Tracy Hayes, Fudge Professional Head of Global Technical Training and leading hair consumer magazine, HAIR, as part of the prize. "The standard and quantity of entries that were uploaded to the Fudge Professional website were exceptional for this new colour competition. With 170 global entries for the first year we know that this competition has been very well received by our customers. Janica Ström's winning image was stunning and her creative use of the Paintbox colour range was inspiring and technically exciting,” explains Stephanie Bruce, Head of Fudge Professional.

Winner of the competition, Janica Ström continued: “I love experimenting with colour and the new Fudge Professional Paintbox really encourages you to mix and create limitless shades. It’s a great range to show off your colouring skills and excite customers with.  It’s amazing to have been selected as the winner of the first Fudge Mixology Master award and I’m looking forward to my trip to London and working with Tracy Hayes on the photographic shoot.”
