Inspiration and Motivation at Wella Professionals' Business Network Live

A host of inspirational speakers took to the stage for the 2016 Wella Professionals Business Network Live, providing the perfect opportunity to share in their expertise and hear them discussing the most topical issues in business, economy and politics affecting small and medium businesses.


Held at the Belfry Hotel in the West Midlands, the  Wella Professionals Business Network Live was hosted by well-known TV hairdresser Michael Douglas. Also present was Sir Lord Digby Jones, previous Minister of State for Trade & Investment, thanked the audience of salon owners and managers for creating a great wealth in the industry.  

Talking the Millennial Generation and how to market to them was the role of Dr Eliza Filby. She spoke with authority on what employees can expect from this generation in terms of attitude to work and their consumer habits.  Dr Javier Bajer a cognitive psychologist and one of the foremost specialists in leadership performance behavioural change and culture, spoke how to get people engaged to make things happen. Finishing off Day 1 was the PR expert Lynne Franks, who shared how salons can build brand equity and how they can moved forward in an ever-changing world. 

Day 2 saw an exclusive System Professional Wellness Event, enabling the audience to understand just how the new brand can potentially grow your salon business. Baroness Karren Brady CBE, first lady of football and Alan Sugar’s aide on The Apprentice had an enormous amount of advice to share with the audience. Known for her resilience and focus, she described how to combat fear of failure and energise a team. If the audience weren’t already motivated John Bird took to the stage. Globally admired social entrepreneur and founder of the now world-famous Big Issue magazine shared how he has helped lower crime while giving something back. Finally TV personality Toyah Willcox spoke on reinvention and shared some of her famous hair looks throughout the years.
