Monday, 05 September 2016 09:46

On Wednesday 31st August Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design in London welcomed 13 talented hairdressers all hoping to be chosen to go through to the final round of the F.A.M.E. Team 2017.

Our Chancellor Karine Jackson hosted the event ensuring the smooth running of the selection process. Judging the hopefuls were President Bruno Marc; Vice President Andreas Stavrou; Project X Leader Ashleigh Hodges; Johanna Cree Brown; Debbie Currie; Simon Shaw with Ann Herman there as scrutiniser.

First up for the 13 semi-finalists was an introduction to all the judges, who will be scoring the individuals throughout the day on various aspects including a 1-hour cutting section, hair up section and their ability to recreate a photographic image. There was also a formal interview where the judging panel was able to get to know everyone a little better. The Teams were divided into groups of 4 for their presentations and the evening was an opportunity to showcase their models, as well as highlight their team working and presentation abilities.

The 8 finalists who will be on stage at Salon International hoping to become the chosen 4 are:

Chloe Ascott, Hare & Bone
Gavin McIntyre, G & E McIntyres
James Earnshaw, Francesco Group
Jordanna Cobella, Cobella
Katie Prescott, Toni & Guy
Patrick John McDougall, Rainbow Room International
Ria Kulik, The Hairbank
Sarah Linley, The Boutique Atelier

It was a fantastic day and evening displaying incredible talent. A big thank you to BaByliss PRO UK who supported the event by providing the fabulous venue.

Karine Jackson, Chancellor, said “Every year the level of skill from the semi-finalists amazes me and this year was no exception. Being able to see the 13 hairdressers throughout the day is always an incredible experience and one I look forward to. You couldn’t help but feel inspired as they showcased just how talented they are to a packed audience at the beautiful venue. A huge congratulations to the 8 finalists who really did wow the judges! For those that weren’t successful this time I definitely encourage you to come back for 2018!”
