Leading hairdressing group, KH Hair, has unveiled a brand new team dedicated to all things colour in recognition of the expert colour services provided across the company’s 22 salons and barbers.

Led by Wella Master Colour Expert, Louise Wagstaffe, the team will focus on creating a centre of excellence for colour couture, attending shows and training courses whilst working with all KH Hair salons to ensure the quality of colour care remains at the very highest level.

Louise, who is Senior Stylist at KH Hair Arnold and a 2015 and 2016 Regional Finalist at the Trend Vision Awards, said: “I’m thrilled to be heading up the new colour creative team, it’s something we’ve been plotting for a while and I hope we will become a leading voice in the industry when it comes to colour couture. We have already undertaken intensive training courses with the likes of Wella and Robert Eaton and we will be attending the Wella Master Colour Congress in Manchester this November. We work closely with Wella to ensure all KH Hair salons have access to the very latest colour innovations and products, and through our creative session work we are able to identify key trends before they happen and subsequently advise clients in-salon about both the best products for their hair type and the latest colours and fashion. Providing training for KH Hair salons is a core part of the Team’s mission and over the course of the next year we hope to roll out a dedicated colour training programme to all 22 salon teams.”

The Colour Team will look for opportunities with leading industry bodies, such as the Fellowship of British Hairdressing and Wella, to grow their profile. Darren Messias, joint Managing Director at KH Hair, said: “We recognised the need for a dedicated Colour Team to enable our highly talented colour technicians the opportunity to develop their skills further and gain exposure through work away from the salon. We have done a lot of work in salons over the past year, introducing colour bars and menus to engage clients more fully in choosing the right colour for them and training more Master Colour Experts so we have a widespread pool of talent across the Group. We’re looking forward to developing the Colour Team and its role within the business over the next 12 months.”

Between now and Christmas, the Team will be busy providing bespoke, additional training to third year students and newly qualified stylists from the acclaimed  , and in November they will undertake their first Colour Team photoshoot presenting the very latest trends and tones.
