What a year it has been for The F.A.M.E. Team

Monday, 19 December 2016 10:20

This time last year Jamie, Melissa, Rosie and Zoe were still celebrating their announcement as The F.A.M.E.

Team 2016. A year on and they have had 18 mentor days, plus appeared on stage at large trade shows wowing the crowds at each one including an incredible stage demonstration at Salon Africa. It is certainly 12 months they will not forget and we cannot wait to see what is up next for the talented four. Before we get to know The F.A.M.E. Team 2017 we caught up with Jamie, Melissa, Rosie, Zoe and Project Leader Antony to get their thoughts on the experience and how they are feeling about the future.

Jamie Benny, Rush Hair & Beauty, said “This year has been priceless to me. The chance to be mentored by industry figureheads has been invaluable, and I have certainly become a more conscious version of me. I am so grateful and honoured to have been a member of this amazing team and I am lucky to have benefitted from so much support from everyone involved. I believe this is the thing I needed to push my career to the next level and I am looking forward to what the future holds.”

Melissa Timperley, Sassoon, said “The F.A.M.E. Team has been the best year of my life. It has been a year of opportunities and inspiration by so many of our industry greats and it really is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I know will help my future career. Spending the time with other creative and passionate hairdressers has really allowed me to develop my own skills and helped me on my journey to becoming the best I can be.  I feel so lucky and privileged to have become such good friends with Rosie, Jamie, Zoe and Antony and I know we will continue to support each other in our next adventures.“

Rosie Binns, Ethos Hairdressing, said “Being part of The F.A.M.E. Team this year has been such a wonderful experience. The opportunity we have had and the support from Antony and everyone at The Fellowship has been life changing. It has boosted my career so much and given me confidence in what I do. I have been so lucky to have been part of such an exciting journey with 3 amazing hairdressers and I've loved every minute of it.”

Zoe Williams, Ken Picton, said “My year being part of the F.A.M.E. Team has been the most incredible experience of my life! The opportunity to have an insight into our industry’s most highly regarded hairdressers and to be taught by them one on one has been priceless. I can't thank The Fellowship enough, and of course our wonderful mentor Antony Licata for making it all possible. I've had so much fun, and my three team mates have become friends for life!”

Antony Licata, Project Leader, said “It was a pleasure to have spent the year with The F.A.M.E. Team. Their attitude was to be open to every idea expressed which means they got the most out of their experience. They represented The Fellowship and UK hairdressing with professionalism and style and it was great to see them bond as a team. With  team members  already winning awards as individuals it will be exciting to see where they go from here. I wish them all the best and would like to thank them for an inspirational year.”
