Andrew Collinge Awards 2017

The Andrew Collinge Hairdressing Group recently held their annual awards event, which was attended by 160 guests and open by Andrew Collinge himself, alongside Managing Director Charlie Collinge.

Following a stylish catwalk presentation from the finalists of the Creative Stylist Award, the first award was presented to Nicola Cunningham, from the company’s Castle Street salon won the very close competition for Creative Stylist.

After dinner the awards continued with the Hazel Collinge Award, named after Andrew’s mother. Hazel and husband Peter, founded Collinge Training in 1984. Collinge Training has gone on to become one of the most respected training providers in the UK delivering exceptional training. The award is in memory of Hazel and is given to a member of the team who trained with the company, completed their apprenticeship and have gone on to make an outstanding contribution to the company. This years recipient was Fiona, Davison, Manager of Graduates Liverpool salon on Bold Street, who has had a long and successful career with the company.

The awards were brought to a close when hairdressing industry icons, Anthony and Pat Mascolo, presented Castle Street with the sought-after Salon of the Year award.

Style Director of the Year – Alex Threlfall, Chester Salon, Liverpool 

Senior Stylist of the Year – Stephanie Field, Ormskirk 

Stylist of the Year – Rebecca Stapleton, Bold Street Salon, Liverpool

Reception Team of the Year – Heswall Salon 

Tutor of the Year presented by Alison Gibson – Francesca Clarke, Bold St Salon, Liverpool

Graduate Retailer of the Year – Helen Seaton, Graduates Salon, Bold Street, Liverpool

Graduate of the Year – Kara McKeown, Liverpool

1st year Assistant of the Year – Lily Carroll, Selfridges, Manchester

2nd year Assistant of the Year – Ella Green, Manchester

The Hazel Collinge Award – Fiona Davison, Bold Street Salon, Liverpool

With the awards over the excitement carried on as everyone partied the night away. Andrew added: “This year’s awards were truly fantastic we love doing something different each year and rewarding our staff for all the hard work they do throughout the year. Each year the standard gets higher and higher and I have to say this year we have seen exceptional talent. We recognise not only winners but those who are continuously improving as we really believe that each individual member of our team is special and deserves their own particular recognition of success.”
