The first ClubStar event of 2017 welcomes Rush to the stage

Wednesday, 22 February 2017 14:16

The first ClubStar event of 2017 took place on Monday 13th February with 4 of The Team from Rush taking to the stage to wow the audience with looks from their Sports Luxe and S&M Punk collections.

After a chance to network with other young hairdressers over a drinks reception the audience then took to their seats with Kerry Mather welcoming everyone to this exciting event before introducing The Rush Art Team to the stage.

MJ Farmer and Cameron Byrne joined Jamie Benny for the first section of the night. MJ did a beautiful live colour that was inspired by the current looks and techniques that are part of the education process for the youngsters at Rush. It was the S&M Punk collection that inspired Cameron with his disconnected haircut that had lots of beautiful movement.

Jamie was then joined by Sophie Chandler as they showcased stunning session work incorporating braiding, plaiting and curling. The audience were given the opportunity to get right up close to their work and Sophie was even joined by a member of the audience to assist her.

It was then a chance to hear about Jamie’s involvement with The F.A.M.E. Team last year and he explained the amazing experience her had, as well as the process he went through to being chosen.

The evening finished with all 6 models returning to the stage.

A big thank you to the L’Oréal Academy in London for providing the venue for the night.

Kerry Mather, ClubStar South Project Leader, said "It was a fantastic first ClubStar event for 2017 and my first as the new Project Leader. I absolutely loved being part of such an incredible evening and Rush put on a brilliant show. What was presented was diverse and exciting and certainly had the wow factor"

Kerri Butler, from Leah Durrant Salon, said “This was my first ClubStar event as a Fellowship member and we came away completely inspired by the passion and dedication that was put into this event. Can’t wait for the next one!”
