Fellowship Team’s Round-up

Monday, 17 April 2017 15:34

The Fellowship’s four teams have been so busy over the last month, getting their jam-packed calendar of education and inspiration well underway…

We’re rounding up what the F.A.M.E. Team, Project X Team and Colour Project Team have been up to.

The F.A.M.E. Team spent the day at Wella World Studios with Jayson Gray for a unique day of colouring, styling and talking personal brands and ideas. Whilst working on models and creating kooky and unique looks inspired by ‘misfits’ and 90’s grunge, he spoke to them team about being yourself and forgetting the rules.

“It’s been on my bucket list to work with The F.A.M.E. Team,” says Jayson, “Our day was all about having fun and thinking outside the box. Education is not black and white – think drama and musical theatre and translate that into hair!”

Project X have been learning to cut the Sassoon way with Mark Hayes at the Sassoon Academy. They were extremely excited and slightly star struck as they got stuck in to their workshop about the art of crafting hair and of course, the legacy of Sassoon. Mark was joined by James Greaces and Saffa Elnour from the Sassoon Academy, who presented and demonstrated a bob cut and medium length cut to the team along with Mark, who later demonstrated a haircut from Sassoon’s new collection.

“I am over the moon to have spent the day with Mark Hayes,” said team member Brooke Evans from Tim Scott Wright at the Hair Surgery, “it was the workshop that I was looking forward to the most and I have gained so much from it! It’s crazy to think that I follow Mark so closely on social media and now I have actually done this masterclass with him!”

The Colour Project Team recently spent the day with colour genius Christel Lundqvist at her beautiful Scandinavian inspired STIL salon. Their day was fashion focused as they talked all things trends and forecasting. Joined by Warren Boodaghians, Craig Clarke and Gen Itoh from the TIGI team, Christel talked the team through the process of indentifying trends and how to translate them into salon relevant hair, which the team enjoyed colour and trend technique demonstrations.

“I really enjoyed everything about this day!” said team member Nicola Dow from Urban Hair and Beauty Highhouse, “the atmosphere was very comfortable and I was so inspired by the way they create their own collections as this is something I would love to do with my salon in the future so I feel that they’ve given me some direction.”
