Art directed by one of the hairdressing industry’s most creative duo’s, Sharon Peake and Adam Bryant from Ethos Hairdressing, the shoot team was a strong one with team mentor Kai Wan photographing and Katie Moore on make-up.
The shoot was inspired by the 90’s trend that’s particularly prominent within fashion and beauty at the moment. The team’s looks let the hair doing all the talking - think grungy influences, cool-girl attitude and bright colours. They grasped the perfect balance between creating a uniformed and identifiable theme, whilst giving just a modest nod to the 90’s influence by putting a modern twist on the make-up and styling, keeping it understated and simple.
So far this year, the team have enjoyed education workshops with Tracey Devine Smith, Edward Hemmings, Richard Phillipart and Mark Hayes and the Sassoon Academy Team. After all that industry education and inspiration, the team have been ready and raring for their shoot opportunity, meticulously planning and prepping in their spare time.
“The Project X Team worked together amazingly,” said Sharon and Adam, “It’s as if they had been working together for years! We had great fun and produced a fantastic collection, with everyone gaining something and coming away a more well-rounded hairdresser. That’s what this is all about!”
Team member Brooke Evans from Tim Scott-Wright said, “I honestly cannot tell you how incredible this opportunity has been. Working with Sharon, Adam and Kai was fantastic and we all worked so well together. The looks we created are great and will be such great memorabilia for the future!”
