The Winners: Face of label.m 2017/18!

Friday, 28 July 2017 10:48

Now in its second year, label.m is excited to announce the winners of this year's label-me. Two finalists have been chosen as the ’face of label.m’ and both will appear in the next 2017/18 global advertising campaign.

After receiving hundreds of entries via the label-me digital platform and in addition to doing numerous street-scouting, a shortlist was eventually drawn from the monthly ‘Judge’s Pick’ winners and all were invited to attend a casting in London.

All the finalists met with label.m’s Global Creative Director, Sacha Mascolo-Tarbuck, and a panel made up of professional hair experts, to take part in a test shoot and to be interviewed about their individual style, interests and ambitions.I’m so pleased that this year’s label-me competition attracted such an enthusiastic and diverse group of young people,” commented Sacha. “Our winners had an undeniable chemistry during the test shoot at casting day and reflect everything that label.m is about in their own individual way. Both winners are unapologetically unique in terms of their distinctive styles and I can’t wait for everyone to see the final campaign look!”

label.m, official haircare product of London Fashion Week and more recently London Fashion Week Men’s, has chosen Maja Rybicka and Alex Guiste as its 'face' of the brand for 2017/18.

After finding out about the style-sharing competition at the TONI&GUY Academy in London, Maja wowed judges with her quirky style and confidence in front of the camera. The aspiring model from Birmingham said after being picked: “I was so excited to find out that I was chosen to be one of the faces of label.m. Working with all these amazing creatives and being part of a global campaign is such a big step in my career. To anyone thinking of entering label-me, I’d so go for it! It’s such a brilliant opportunity so why not give it a try? I absolutely love my new hair and can’t wait to share it with everyone!”

London-based blogger, Alex Guiste was shortlisted after being spotted for his bold sense of style and statement hair at the label.m street-style casting during London Fashion Week Men’s and says:  “When I was I told I would be fronting the label.m campaign I was really excited! It’s given me the opportunity to see how con dent I am in front of the camera, as well as working with a really great team and top models. Fashion and grooming are very important to me and I love how they were able to accentuate my natural hair, whilst conveying my personality - as my style is something I take great pride in. To anyone thinking of entering label-me – just do it as everyone should have a chance to do this as it’s so much fun.”
