Wella Professionals TrendVision Award 2018 Finalists Announced

Monday, 16 April 2018 13:52

The photographic judging has now taken place and the UK Regional & Ireland Heat finalists have been announced for Wella Professionals' 2018 TrendVision competition.

The two international categories; COLOR VISION and CREATIVE VISION – in which winners will go on to compete at the International final in Lisbon in November 2018 – stand alongside the two exclusive UK & Ireland categories - MALE GROOMING and RUNWAY. For the first time, competitors were able to attend a ‘Create Your Look’ photographic session at one of the Wella Studios, entries were then submitted online. Competitors submitted an image encompassing their personal vision of what is current and inspiring for their chosen category.

The Photographic judging day took place at the Wella World Studio London with a wide range of highly acclaimed hairdressing experts and icons (see photo above) who worked their way through the record number of entries. “Once again, the standard of the entries has been outstanding. Judging was tough; however, we are delighted to have an extremely talented list of individuals that are going through to the next stage – I personally would love to thank everyone for entering and special thanks to our amazing judges who give up their time for this.” said Wella’s Director of Education, Sheila Jackson.

Finalists will now compete at the UK Regional & Ireland Heats, where they will be required to create their look live on their chosen model. The winners from that stage will then compete at the UK & Ireland final on 8th October 2018 at The Roundhouse, Camden, London. The winners of the two international categories (COLOR VISION and CREATIVE VISION) will then go onto the International TrendVision Award Final in Lisbon, Portugal, in November, which has a fresh new format for 2018.
