F.A.M.E. Team Heads to Paris

Tuesday, 28 August 2018 09:55

Paris Fashion Week is the location for the next F.A.M.E. Team experience, thanks to Eugene Souleiman and ghd Professional.

Nick Irwin, mentor for the Fellowship for British Hairdressing’s 2018 F.A.M.E. Team, has confirmed that the group will be working backstage at Paris Fashion Week, supporting Eugene Souleiman’s team. Nick, whose relationship with session stylist Eugene dates back decades, made the announcement at the F.A.M.E. Team semi-finals, which took place in London. The reigning team and their mentor were special guests at the auditions, where they shared the highlights of the year as part of the ultimate hairdressing finish school.

So far, Nick and the team – Paddy McDougall, Ellie Bond, Peter Mellon and Katie Prescott –  have shot with acclaimed fashion photographer, Rankin, presented on stage at Hair Expo in Australia, and enjoyed masterclasses with some of British hairdressing’s biggest names. Their next challenge looks set to be their biggest yet, as they support Eugene and his team at Paris Fashion Week on the Maison Martin Margiela, Thom Browne and Yohji Yamamoto shows. Supporting them on their shows is Fellowship sponsor, ghd Professional, who will be providing kit and covering the team’s travel and expenses. “I knew from day one that this team had that magic,” says Nick. “I also knew that there was a great connection – not just between me and them, but between them as a team too. They’ve been fantastic and it’s been an honour to work alongside them. I’m overjoyed that this experience with Eugene is happening and want to think him, the Fellowship and ghd Professional for making it happen.”
