Friday, 21 September 2018 14:40

Over 50,000 visitors, including 9% visitors from over 86 other countries, gathered in Paris, Porte de Versailles, on 8, 9 and 10 September for the 2018 edition of MCB by Beauté Sélection.

280 exhibitors and key players from the global hair and beauty market presented their latest collections, product lines and services. Technological innovation was combined with artistry of the very highest standard throughout.

Market Dynamism

The colour sector confirms its rise through an ever-wider range of products and services, which allow us to achieve an even greater market share. New technologies and approaches are emerging such as Wella Professionals Koleston Perfect ME +, enriched with PureBalance ™ technology and the ME + ™ molecule, which offers brilliant colour, while minimising the risk of developing an allergic reaction.

The development of Igora Royal Take Over continues over at Schwarzkopf Professional with the launch of 6 new shades of purple and green that lend themselves perfectly to current trends. The line, created and developed with known influencer hairdressers, meets receives feedback from salons, thanks to its fashion-conscience credentials.

The fashion side was also the source of inspiration for the new Subtil launch: 5 metallic shades, ideal for bringing clear foundations into a new dimension. To accompany this launch, the brand has asked the help of hairstylist Luc Besson who has signed the new hairstyling collection.

The French specialist in vegetable-based colour, Marcapar, once again engaged with hairdressers interested in the natural formulation. With a full range of treatments and styling products, Marcapar emphasises the ability of plants, thanks to their properties, to style, colour, moisturise and cleanse the hair and scalp: a 100% natural and quality alternative.

On-Trend: Men's Grooming and Styling

This major industry sector continues to grow with the same intensity. American Crew launched Acumen, choosing to expand its offer with the integration of products dedicated to the care of men's skin, hitherto absent in the salons in terms of resale, while aiming to increase retailing in the salon.

Wella Professionals has launched the line dedicated to the man SP Man that offers a personalised approach to hair and beard care. Enriched with the EnergyCode ™ complex, the treatment is part of a ritual proposed by the barber, after an accurate diagnosis of the condition of the hair and expectations in terms of results.
