Mixology Master 2018: Winner Announced!

Fudge Professional is excited to announce the winner of its Mixology Master competition!  Janica Strom from Salon Moodroom in Finland picks up this coveted award for the second time,  having already won in 2016.

More competitive than ever and with a massive number of entries arriving from all over the world, this year’s entries continued to be of incredibly high standards. Maria’s beautiful on-trend colour blends that showed great skill and understanding of the Fudge colour portfolio range. As the Fudge Professional Mixology Master 2018, Janica receives £1,000 in holiday vouchers and an incredible makeover Fudge Professional bundle for her salon. 

To enter, Fudge Professional colourists, across the globe, were eligible to enter by simply uploading a before image, step by step breakdown of the Fudge Professional colouring products used and the finished look to the Fudge Professional website. Judges for the Mixology Master competition included PR guru Samantha Grocutt from Essence PR and award-winning hairdressers Lisa Farrall and Sid Sottung. 

“I couldn’t believe it when I heard that I won the Fudge Mixology Master 2018!,” said Janica. “The competition is global and huge. I feel so honoured to carry this title second time now. I’ve competed a lot, but this competition and my success in it, has opened so many doors for me.” Tracy Hayes, Global Head of Technical Education, adds: “How amazing for Janica to win a second time around in the Mixology competition. I really believe that what stood out for the judges was the thought process in her presentation of her entry format. It was clear to see step by step from the before picture, application and the finished look. Images that publications would love to have to show off Janica’s creative work using Fudge Professional Headpaint and Paintbox colour. Well Done!”
