Gatsby & Miller Salon Open to Good Causes!

Monday, 18 March 2019 15:41

The new Gatsby & Miller salon in Amersham is not only a hit with clients, who love the increased space and on-site café, modern grooming area and beauty rooms, but also with the local community, as the team also utilised its opening party to  raise much-welcomed funds for a local Hospice.

Creating a space that offers so much to the local community was a top priority according to salon manager/co-owner, Dawn Montgomery. Designed so that each area flows into the next, the new space feels spacious and is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a wide range of services and treatments. With The Hospice of St Francis in nearby Berkhamsted the salon’s chosen charity for 2019, it made sense to combine a launch party with a chance to raise vital funds. As well as loyal clients, friends and family, the opening was a chance to invite hair industry supporters and other local businesses to see just how far Gatsby & Miller has come since the original salon opened in 2011.

It also proved a great opportunity for guests to chat with BBC TV’s The One Show resident hairdresser, Michael Douglas, who was on hand to officially declare the new salon open! Michael commented how great it is to see a local independent salon thriving in the heart of it’s town: “This stunning salon is a credit to the Gatsby & Miller team and will provide a brilliant venue for local people to visit – not only for their hair and beauty treatments, to experience a range local food, discerning coffee and a collective of fine wines and spirits in the café,”  he added.

For the Hospice of St Francis, celebrating it’s 40th year, the fund raiser gave a much welcome boost to on-going fund raising. “I would like to thank all the Gatsby & Miller team for holding the launch of these amazing new premises in aid of the Hospice,”  commented Carolyn Addison, Head of Corporate Fundraising at the hospice. ”We depend on our local community and businesses like Gatsby & Miller for much of our support which enables us to continue making a significant difference to people’s lives.”
