In anticipation of this year’s Alternative Hair Show 'Parody', to be held at the ICC Auditorium, ExCel London on 6th October, the very first Alternative Hair Visionary Award Taiwan took place on Monday 29th July in Taipei.

Created by Anthony Mascolo, Alternative Hair Global President, the Visionary Award provides opportunities for talented hairdressers to show their artistry as part of the Visionary Award Show, held on the night of the London Alternative Hair Show.  Since it first became part of the show, the Visionary Award Show has grown in popularity year by year and is now an important aspect of the evening.

“I believe in providing hairdressers with the chance to demonstrate their creativity, giving them opportunities to show their artistry support their personal career journey," explains Anthony. "I see The Visionary Award as being about hairdressers who are the future of artistic global hairdressing. Every year the competition has been well-supported by Taiwanese hairdressers and I am absolutely delighted we were given the opportunity to hold the Visionary Award in Taiwan prior to this year’s London Alternative Hair Show. We had an incredible number of entries for the 3 categories: cut & colour, men’s and avant-garde and the winners, chosen from the 35 finalists will come to London as part of the Alternative Hair Show at Excel, in association with Salon International, on Sunday, October 6th.”

The event was sponsored and organised by The Ripple Group and Salon News Asia who have graciously become Patrons of Alternative Hair for their generous support.

The evening also featured the Alternative Hair Grand Masters Presentation, which included Mikel Luzea, Filippo Sepe and Tony Rizzo & Sanrizz as well as brand Artistic Team presentations from TIGI, ghd and Kevin Murphy
