Fellowship for British Hairdressing Projects – Closing Date Approaching!

Tuesday, 19 November 2019 14:16

Time is running out to apply for the Fellowship for British Hairdressing’s Project: Men, Project: Colour and Project: X

The closing date is fast approaching for the Fellowship for British Hairdressing’s esteemed projects – twelve-month programs of education and opportunity, spanning all aspects of the industry.

Project: Men is the Fellowship’s dedicated men’s hairdressing program, covering all aspects of barbering, grooming and men’s hair. From cut and colour to shaving and shoots, this year-long course provides new and emerging men’s hairdressing talent with plenty of opportunities for education and exposure. Each month, the team meet for a mentoring session with a top-name industry expert, growing their experience, network and skills in the process. Team Leader, Jonathan Andrew, brings a wealth of experience to the role and has big plans to grow the project in its second year!

Project: X is a celebration of life-long learning and is open to hairdressers of any age who have completed their basic training. Each month, the team meet to undertake money-can’t-buy mentoring sessions with industry experts, and will also take part in a shoot and live stage presentations. For 2020, Karoliina Saunders is taking over as leader of the team and has plenty of exciting events in store – starting with a session with the queen of avant garde, Anne Veck. With experience in session work, shows, shoots, competitions and running a thriving salon, Karoliina has plenty of great ideas to take the team ahead in the coming year.

For those that love colour, Project: Colour is the industry’s hottest ticket. With no allegiance to any one brand, team members are able to learn from the very best in the industry, across the board. From crazy colour to commercial salon looks, working with wigs and wefts and how to use colour in shoots, this is your ultimate opportunity to take your colour skills to the next level. Led by multi award-winning colourist, Paul Dennison from Ken Picton, this is the perfect project for anyone who is passionate about the possibilities of colour.

The closing date to apply for a place on all teams is Friday 29 November.
