Launch of UK & Ireland TrendVision Award 2020

Exciting times are afoot! Wella Professionals' TrendVision Award is now launched for 2020, with five completely new categories to enter for the UK and Ireland... and entering couldn't be easier!

TrendVision has become one of the most iconic hair competitions in the hairdressing calendar and here is all the information you need to take your first steps towards entering the 2020 competition.

 

WHO CAN ENTER?

Entering TrendVision has never been easier and it’s not just open to those working in a salon. Anyone living or working in the UK or Ireland, including independent stylists, can enter, and you don’t need to be a WellaProfessionals account.

 

WHAT ARE THE CATEGORIES

There are six categories in total to choose from: 

Colour Artist 

Salon relevant hair with a focus on colour

Colour Specialist - new for 2020

Beautiful balayage with a soft transition 

Editorial Look - new for 2020

An editorial image that reflects the Sebastian Professional brand identity 

Craft Artist - new for 2020

A cut and style transformation 

Men’s Hair - new for 2020

A trendy male haircut that reflects the Seb Man brand identity 

Style Master - new for 2020

Exceptional styling execution for the modern ghd girl

OPI Nail Artist

Salon nail design showcasing trends and excellent application


HOW TO ENTER 

Entering TrendVision is now all on Instagram. Simply upload a before and after image that has been created in the last 12 months to Instagram, ensuring that you tag in @wellahairuk and use the relevant category #hashtag. Competitors can submit multiple entries, as long as each entry is a different look.  

 

THE 2020 CALENDAR & DEADLINES

February: Submit your entry online from 16th February.

March: 5pm 9th April entry deadline.

April: Photographic results announced 27th April to see who will go through to the Regional & Ireland Heats, which for 2020 have a whole new exciting format. 

UK Regional Heats: Manchester 1st June, Glasgow 2nd June, London 8th June, Midlands heat venue TBC 9th June 

Ireland Heats: Dublin 24th August 

UK & Ireland Final: Monday 28th September, held at the iconic Roundhouse in Camden, London.  


TrendVision Award Gold winners will receive a money-can’t-buy prizes including two professional photo shoots of the winning looks and the TrendVision collection, which will be featured in trade press and marketing campaigns. The winners of Colour Artist, Colour Specialist and Craft Artist categories will win a place at the International Creative Retreat. 

 Gold winners in the Editorial Look, Men’s Hair or Style Master categories will be entered into an online competition to win a place at the International Creative Retreat, where the top five winners globally will go through. In addition, Silver and Bronze winners will receive a tailored Wella Education development programme, coveted trophy and invitation to attend inspirational events throughout the year.
