GOSH Race for the Kids is Back!

Supported by Royal Bank of Canada for the eighth year running, Race for the Kids 5k family fun run is returning this year to raise much-needed funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. The event will return with a fresh autumn look on Saturday 7 October in London’s iconic Hyde Park. 

For the 7th time, Hairist 2017 brought together Turkish hairdressers and students from 15 schools, as well as visitors from overseas, who were able to experience the country's inspirational hair talent first hand.

The generosity and good-will of our fabulous industry resulted in over £5,000 being raised on on Friday 30th June for Helping Hairdressers Day, in aid of The Hairdressers’ Charity.

This is the story of a guy who did well—then did good. New documentary proves that the greatest secret to success is sharing your 'Good Fortune.'

On Friday 30th June hairdressers from all over the UK raising awareness and funds for The Hairdressers’ Charity, and Iain Brucelow from Brucelow Hair in Oban, Scotland, decided to get behind this as much as possible.

In 2017, the perm turns 111 years old! A long way from the fleeting fate linked to the evolution of times and fashion, the perm has also been a major influence to the change of woman in society, and needs to find its way into salons without seeming like a flight back to the past.

The Hairdressers Charity recently presented the Jayne Henderson Award for Charitable Contribution to Jonathan Littler of Alan Howard. The charity’s vice- president, Hilary Hall chief executive of the National Hairdressers Federation, presented the award.

After the second edition closed with record numbers, 114 projects from 22 countries are lined up for the third edition of the Davines and [ comfort zone ] campaign dedicated to beauty.

TIGI Inspirational Youth 2017 Team is Announced

TIGI Inspirational Youth is a mentorship programme designed to give young hairdressers the opportunity to develop their creativity and talent. Now in its 13th year, many former team members have gone on to highly successful careers in the global hairdressing industry.

Kay Brady has been announced as the new Head of Professional Partnership Services at Schwarzkopf Professional UK & Eire, as from this September. She is being promoted from her current position of National Education Manager, which she has held since 2002.
