Tuesday, 25 June 2013 14:38

Effortness modern tails from Antoinette Beenders, Aveda Global Creative Director, for the Stella McCartney Fall/Winter 2013 collection.

Aveda announce that they are collaborating with the designer Stella McCartney – one of fashion's A-List talents who shares the brand values of Aveda, from a commitment to sustainability to a no fur, no animal skin policy.

Led by Antoinette Beenders, Global Creative Director of Aveda, the stylist team provided hairstyling for two high profile fashion presentations in Tokyo and Hong Kong, showcasing Stella’s autumn collection to a high-profile audience of 250 VIP media, influencers and celebrities. Local styling teams from Japan and Hong Kong also supported the core team. Aveda also provide hair for her resort show in New York City.

For the Tokyo show, Antoinette styled a perfectly groomed ponytail with the strategic use of high performance products to achieve a natural, polished look, please see press release attached.

Antoinette Beenders commented: "A beautifully groomed ponytail may seem simple but to look effortless takes creative thinking and a strategic use of high performance products to achieve a natural, polished look. Stella was looking for a slicker look than what she normally goes for to match the beautifully tailored masculine/feminine cut of this stunning collection. Our models had a variety of global hair textures from fine to curly and course, so achieving sleek isn't a given. The beauty is that with a little styling help, the polished look can become anyone's regardless of their hair type or length. It's all about products + technique = results.”
