Extreme ice and blonde hair that recollects Scandinavian colours: the coolest platinum hair looks by the 'king of blonde'.

Californian hairstylist and platinum hair specialist  Zachary Mesquit loves this shade because it's so gorgeous he's completely lost his heart to it. On social media it is known as @Platinum_Perfection (more than 206,000 followers on instagram) and has earned him  the title of the "king of blonde" thanks to his colour transformation.

"One of the many reasons I love platinum blonde hair is because it looks expensive. It's a simple, clean, timeless look, much like a piece of Cartier jewellry or a Birkin bag, when you see someone walking around with this colour on their head you know they invest time and money into it to get it done right, this colour is by far the most difficult and delicate colour to achieve, and I enjoy the challenge, " says Zachary Mesquit on his Instagram profile.

Acclaimed all over the world, he has recently decided to open an Online Education Channel on Snapchat, to give everyone the opportunity to follow his courses. Here you can find in depth hair tutorials, detailed formula explanations, exclusive content and his hair secrets.

"A few months ago I started with online education because I received many requests and could not be in multiple places at the same time. Furthermore, travel made the courses more expensive and not everyone could afford to participate. In this way I made the course more accessible,"  he says on Instagram.

For Schwarzkopf Professional he created the BlondMe Platinum Icon look. He used BLONDME Bond Enforcing Premium Lightener 9+ for a light and uniform blonde base; BLONDME Blonde Blue and Ice Toning Steel for platinum finish. To maintain and enhance colour, BLONDME Tone Enhancing Bonding Shampoo and Mask.

Platinum Hair: Who's it for?

Bright, strong and decisive, the platinum blonde hair ranges from white to silver. But is it OK with all complexions? Yes to lighter skin tones, but attention with olive complexions because the greater the pigments in the skin, the more tones there'll be reflected in the blonde hair. Short cuts, edge effect, but also extra lengths: this hair colour is suitable for all types of cuts and personalities. What is certain is that the longer the hair is land  more they need care and maintenance.
