Bronde Luxe from Wella Professionals Couture Colour reveals AW16’s Hottest Trend

Wednesday, 19 October 2016 09:46

As true experts across the entire colour spectrum, Wella Professionals has redefined and expanded Bronde - one of the key emerging trends for the Autumn/Winter 2016 season.

A combination of two of the most classic shades - blonde and brunette - Bronde is all about a rich, yet subtle and natural-looking shades, expertly achieved by lightening the hair without creating too much of a contrast. It’s a colour lifting technique that really appeals to dark-haired clients who want to go lighter in a way that's individual and bespoke for them. Until now, a somewhat limited palette has meant that Bronde is traditionally perceived as a look that is just for brunettes, but with Wella Professionals new Bronde Luxe service, colourists are now equipped with a full spectrum of shades. This major step forward means that literally any salon client can now achieve the Bronde effect they desire, regardless of their base colour.

Hand-Crafted Colour

The unique expertise and colour craftsmanship of the Bronde Luxe service means that the strategic placement of light and shadow can be used to lift any colour and give clients their very own ultra- personalised look. The Couture Colour approach to Bronde diversifies the trend by adding nuances of pearl, olive, coffee and caramel to natural tones. Silvery violet tones are added to dark brunettes and black hair, ashy blues beautifully complement platinum blondes and sunkissed strawberry hues enhance true tizian red heads. Whatever the base colour, the Couture Colour approach ensures that the colourist’s skill and expertise shines through at every stage of the process, resulting in the ultimate prestige finish. To showcase the breadth of the Bronde Luxe collection, Wella’s Global Creative Director for Colour, Josh Wood, created seven looks using the Bronde technique and the Illumina Color portfolio of 38 shades, plus a new shade – 5/02 Light Natural Matt Brown, which allows to neutralise the red/orange warmth found in the dark hair. With the perfect mix of incredible light reflection and hair protection, Illumina results in a beautiful bespoke colour result every single time. “As leaders in colour, Wella Professionals colourists are always looking at ways that we can use our creativity and craftsmanship to evolve and elevate popular hair trends,” explains Josh. “The Bronde Luxe collection finally gives this established trend a fresh face, taking it in a more sophisticated direction and opening it up to a whole new customer base.”
