label.m Gets Festive with Jean-Pierre Braganza!

Special festivities this season as the official haircare product of London Fashion Week, label.m,  collaborates with Jean-Pierre Braganza.

 


Charismatic designer Jean-Pierre Braganza  joins forces with label.m for a beautiful compilation of Christmas giftsWith print, graphics and a strong sense of the geometric featuring within his collections, Jean-Pierre Braganza takes his inspiration from elements such as architectural movements and designs through to the sci-fi genre.

 

Jean-Pierre Braganza said:  “It isn’t until after I’ve finished my design that I see the visual cues and influences that have permeated through into my work. When I look at this print in retrospect, I clearly see that it was heavily dictated by the aesthetics of the modernist architectural movements that resonate with my own aesthetic. I drew from the luxurious and geometric motifs of Art Deco and the bold lines of the Bauhaus movement. These influences give the print design a sense of glamour and grandeur that I’ve also imbued into the rest of the collection. Both architectural styles looked towards modernization and the future, similarly to the way in which my designs look towards the future with their sci-fi influences. My work is always informed by the architectural and geometric, allowing me to play with ideas of symmetry and asymmetry in all aspects of my design.”


The relationship between Braganza and the TONI&GUY/label.m brands has grown stronger and stronger since they began working together backstage at London Fashion Week in 2010. This is, however, the first time they have worked on a product design project of this kind.
