In-Salon Hygiene: TIGI Partners with Pro Formula

Leading professional hair colour and care brand TIGI has partnered with fellow Unilever brand, Pro Formula, as part of a pilot to offer salons a government-regulated cleaning and hygiene bundle to continue to keep their teams and clients as safe as possible during COVID-19.

The current climate has been a challenging time for the entire industry and as hair and beauty salons are now open, it is crucial that UK government guidelines are followed and maintained. TIGI and Pro Formula have thoughtfully developed a curated bundle that meets government hygiene standards and regulations to keep their salons safe. Available from this week, the use of these bundles at TIGI salons will minimise the risk of spreading COVID-19 and will help to protect employees and their clients. From conceptualisation to creation of trainings, the partnership was executed in just three months in an effort to keep safety top of mind. 

Pro Formula offers a comprehensive range of ready-to-use cleaning solutions and brings together the trusted expertise of Unilever and Diversey, a brand specially developed for professional cleaning needs. Pro Formula is a pioneer in hygiene, specifically when looking at regulations, hygiene and certifications. 

The partnership will launch with one hundred bundles of nine products each and will be seeded to one hundred key TIGI salons.  

Each salon will receive detailed wall charts for the main salon space, kitchenette and washrooms, alongside the products. As part of the pilot, Pro Formula will also provide cleaning guides and training for the TIGI sales teams to ensure they fully understand the requirements and needs. 

“Partnering with Pro Formula was a natural fit – they are a leader and expert in the hygiene category," explains Chris Miller, Head of UK & Ireland, TIGI. "We worked very closely with Pro Formula to select the suitable products and develop guidelines to ensure we were going above and beyond government standards. It is our priority and mission to keep our salons and their clients healthy and safe.” 

The TIGI and Pro Formula partnership is an important and transformative union that will allow salons to feel at ease when welcoming and working with their #TIGIFamily.
